Conditions We Treat
Perinatal Mental Health
The transition to motherhood is profound — and the mental health challenges that can come with it are real and treatable. Our providers offer compassionate, evidence-based support for mothers during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
Understanding Perinatal Mental Health
Perinatal mental health encompasses the emotional and psychological changes that occur during pregnancy and the first year after childbirth. Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders — including postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and postpartum psychosis — are among the most common complications of childbirth, affecting up to 1 in 5 new mothers.
At Lyte Psychiatry, we understand how difficult it can be to ask for help when you're supposed to be feeling joyful. We provide a warm, non-judgmental space where mothers can talk openly about what they're experiencing and receive effective, evidence-based treatment.
